Art and Antiques Magazine highlighted Lawrence Gallery as "One of the seven best places in the US for building a personal art collection". We are so thankful for this honor, and to be the only gallery chosen on the West Coast!
We are deeply appreciative of our loyal artists and clients, many who have become personal friends of the Lawrence Family!
Lawrence Gallery is the oldest continuously operating art gallery in the state of Oregon.
Our gallery represents the Northwest's finest artists. We also feature selected pieces by masters such as Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, and Michelangelo.
Founder Gary Lawrence has become a household name in visual art circles. Through his vision as an artist and entrepreneur, the enduring richness of original art has been brought to more than 50,000 homes and businesses in the PNW, and around the world.
In the 1960s, Gary Lawrence began creating sculptures in steel, copper and bronze. He started selling in art fairs and small galleries. Before long he and his friends hosted shows with food and wine at his home studio in the Coast Range Mountains above Willamina, Oregon. The success of his studio sales encouraged him to open a permanent gallery.
In 1977, Lawrence Gallery officially opened in a century old building on Highway 18. The building was originally a carriage stop and country store, then a grange hall, and later in the mid 1920s, a community center for the small town of Bellevue. That old building continues to charm today with its original fir floors, high ceilings, vast views of surrounding fields and beautiful Yamhill County vineyards.
In 2018, Gary and Signe Lawrence passed down the family business to their son Bradley and his wife Heidi Lawrence.
EXCITING UPDATE: In November 2021 the gallery moved to:
